Trans Pennine 2011

Trans Pennine 2011 – Organised by the Yorkshire branch of the HCVS. 2011 was the 43rd event and over 200 vehicles entered. The start is at Birch Services on the M62 in Lancashire and the route goes non motorway to Bradford, Otley and ending up at The Stray, Harrogate in North Yorkshire. Always a good display of buses and coaches, together with commercial vehicles and the odd steamer.

"A very interesting set of photos. The Flights Tours photo reminded me of just what a handsome body the Harrington Cavalier was. Nice (for me) to see one not in Southdown livery. Love the coach operated by the Wigglesworth Sisters (Marvellous Days Out)! What do we know about them?
Both vehicles are in wonderful condition."

Re Wigglesworth Sisters - My mistake this one saw the B reg and assumed it fell into the pre 69 cut off, trouble was brain not quite in gear as B at the wrong end. It may mysteriously disapear one day.
